Spinal manipulation or spinal adjustment is used to apply pressure on the spine or a joint with the aim of reducing pain and improving function. This controlled force, carefully delivered, ranges from gentle to strong and slow to fast. It is a safe treatment when done by a trained physiotherapist. You may experience some tiredness afterwards, but the pain is relieved.
