Ramesh Bimagani - PT/Clinic Director
Ramesh Bimagani, Clinic Director, was drawn to a career in physiotherapy because he wanted to help people, and in particular, to assist patients recovering from sports injuries so they could return to their sport of choice with an expanded participation.
He achieved his Bachelor’s Degree in Physiotherapy and has been practicing physiotherapy since 2000.
During that time he has worked extensively in the areas of musculoskeletal injuries, neurological conditions, and cardio pulmonary rehabilitation, ICU an sports injuries at various health care facilities in India and Canada.
His quest for knowledge and adventure combined to encourage him to move from Bangalore to Calgary in 2005, where he has been practicing his profession successfully since that time. He has also acquired certification in spinal manipulation.
His other advance skills include use of manual therapy, myofascial release techniques, personalized exercise prescriptions, vestibular therapy, and use of acupuncture.
He is affiliated with the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada, the Canadian Physiotherapy Association and the Alberta College of Physiotherapists.
Ramesh also provides foot assessments and custom-foot orthotics.
He is a family man, and his wife, Arthi Bimagani is a dentist. They have two lovely children, Tanusri and Pranav.
When he is not working, he enjoys spending time with his family. He also has a keen interest in sports including tennis, cricket, running, hiking and skiing.
He is committed to the community he serves and is a firm believer in giving back as a volunteer and champion of projects. Because of that he has achieved a reputation of distinction in his community. He contributes greatly to a number of not for profit organizations to spread awareness about the practice of healthy living.
Sweety (Pali) Arora Physiotherapist
Sweety (Pali) Arora joined Genesis Physiotherapy in 2014 after working a variety of settings, helping clients of all different ages. This physiotherapist loves to use hands-on manual therapy on clients in combination with education, modalities and individualized exercise programs.
Sweety graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy in Punjab, India in 2009 and began to work in a private setting and the Central Reserve Police Force, India.
Today she remains passionate about health and wellness and loves to serve the community to help residents stay active and healthy and get rid of their pain.
When she is not working, time is spent exercising, swimming and reading to gather further knowledge.
Vikramjeet Arora Physiotherapist Cert. Acupuncture and Dry Needling, Manual Therapy
Vikramjeet graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from DAV Institute of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation in the city of Jalandhar, province Punjab in India. DAV is the oldest and pioneer institutes in northern India affiliated to Baba Farid University of Health Sciences. After graduation, he worked for five years in a tertiary level hospital, SPS hospitals in India where he had a chance to work with a variety of patients ranging from acute musculoskeletal and neurological injuries, geriatrics, pediatrics, obs and gynae as well as chronic injuries, post-surgical rehab and with patients in Intensive care units. He’s got an experience of 9 years overall.
His major areas of work are musculoskeletal injuries and post-surgical rehab. He uses his expertise to treat MVA and work-related injuries as well as acute sports injuries. He uses Manual therapy, Acupuncture, Dry Needling/IMS and K-taping in his clinical practice. The key focus is on patient education, injury prevention and what to do and not do after any injury/problem, along with providing adequate treatment for full function in daily life. He believes that a home exercise program also keeps patients active and brings out the best results, if followed diligently.
He believes effective communication is the key to success and he speaks Hindi, Punjabi and Urdu in addition to English. He is a firm believer in life-long learning and very keen to develop his skills by taking a lot of post-graduate courses to learn new techniques and advancements in patient care.
When not working, he enjoys going for long drives and appreciate the beauty of nature. He loves to spend time with his family and friends.
